Babies

We recognise that the first year of a babies life is critical to it's development. Babies need security and supportive care in which they feel valued.

Our staff are recruited to ensure that we provide a warm, friendly approach and a genuine understanding of babies needs.

We ensure that babies get individual attention almost constantly when they are awake as they are continually learning.

Toddlers - 2 year olds

seem to have boundless energy curiosity and increasing independence. We build on this natural stage to support and encourage children to explore a wide range of activities.

Children are encouraged to choose from a wide variety of activities and to spend as long, or little time as they need to fully explore the activity, often aiding them to develop their concentration skills by not being pressured into pre-set time scales.

3 years +

As children are developing more skills, our curriculum is widened to challenge and stimulate each child. The structured activities are available in 3 levels, which ensures that children are offered activities to suit their individual stage.

The children are supported positively and are encouraged throughout their activities, which are presented on an invitation basis.

The year preceding school

As parents and children are beginning to think about school entry many of the parents will elect to move their child onto our pre-school group at the Old School unit and confidently onto the Foundation Stage.

This stage is based on the Early Learning Goals formulated by Government Policy. The curriculum is focused on the areas of priority that will be needed at reception/year 1 at school.
